speech language pathologist

Hi, I’m Laura! I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist. I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Loyola University Maryland and my Master of Science in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences from Boston University. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and a license to practice in the state of Massachusetts.

Throughout my career I have worked with toddlers, preschool, and school-age children in both private practice and public school settings. In both settings, I regularly collaborated with related professionals (e.g., teachers, developmental specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, board certified behavior analysts, social workers, psychologists). I have experience with the evaluation and treatment of children with articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language delays and disorders, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and communication challenges secondary to autism spectrum disorder and Down syndrome.

I have a positive, fun, and empathetic spirit while providing therapy that is rooted in evidence-based practices. I enjoy collaborating with families and related professionals in the child’s environment to creatively respond to each child’s unique needs to facilitate the most growth and build success. I am passionate about empowering children and their families, focused on building trusting connections and using a child’s individual strengths to make strides toward progress and achieve their full potential.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading books, trying new recipes, going to the beach, and doing barre, pilates, and cycling workouts!
